"Sanctuaries"

I am, and always will be, a student of design, composition and color. Furthermore, I’ve always felt driven to create the spiritual…the beautiful. In the past, my work has revolved around portraying a sensitivity I have for things of the spirit and the heart. Along the way, the subjects of these works always found themselves tapped into the basis of who I am as a Christian, being nourished by the majesty I have found in my God and the world He has created for me.
Tonight’s show marks a change, and for the first time my talents and my faith have aligned to produce a body of work that illuminates the pages of my faith and inspiration, directly glorifying my God and Savior Jesus Christ. This work is my statement, my direct return of talents given, to focus on Sanctuaries, or places of refuge where the rhythm and glory of God are revealed. To me specifically, I find this rhythm in the natural world. It is for me, a place where divinity resonates in a perfectly choreographed work of art that is nothing less than Holy. It is a place where all things living seem to exalt the King through their movements, grace, power and majesty. Whatever your faith, I hope you enjoy my latest efforts in depicting “places of refuge” where all worries are lost, the weight is removed, and the magnificent is glorified.
